OSX Setting Time Machine Destination from command line

OSX from version Sierra sometimes cannot connect to the backup volume. This is an old, but effective, and persistent fix:

sudo tmutil setdestination afp://username:password@ip/Backups

eg: tmutil setdestination afp://timecapsuleuser:oversight7@BIF-TimeCapsule.local/Backups
